Hello.
I am a simple, down-to-earth person who is currently entering a mid-life crisis, or so I thought. I am taking a short break from my 20-year banking career to take stock of my next step.
I used to take pride in my job and proud to introduce myself as a 'Banker' to my friends and acquaintances alike. I put in my best efforts at work and is always the one who comes in first in the morning and go back last in the evenings.
So much about my working life, I now feel that I need to review my contributions to my family. My son is taking an important examination this year, I have no domestic helper at home to assist and I am wondering if I have spent sufficient time with my partner at home and the list goes on ...
At work, I am a self-motivated person who can work well independently. With more than twenty years in the corporate world, I can communicate and co-ordinate effectively with people at all levels. Being a meticulous worker who had an eye for details, I have received several compliments from my customers and previous employers.
Going forward, I hope to apply my strengths more in my family life instead and discover more surprises and if possible craft up a 'second' career for myself.
I would like to share my thoughts and aspirations with people who are in a similar life stage as me through this blog.
See you,
Jane Chan
